Adrian and Hannah Stone moved to Spain from Wales in 2002 to open an accessible hotel to provide holidays for physically disabled people, their friends and family.
Both have a background in travel and tourism including 3 years organising and guiding tours for physically disabled people all over the world. It became quickly apparent to them that accessible accommodation options were often very poor. Time after time, either the hotel would be lovely, but the facilities for disabled people were (despite brochure claims) totally inadequate, or the facilities were great, but it felt like a nursing home rather than holiday accommodation. They decided that people with disabilities deserved better and the Las Piedras idea was born!
With lots of hard work and determination Las Piedras Accessible Hotel was created and opened it’s doors to it’s first guests in 2003. Despite it´s popularity and success, the hotel still retains its homely, relaxed atmosphere, thanks to Adrian and Hannah, their family and friendly team of staff.
In 2008 the El Pleamar Accessible Apartments were added. Located right on the beach at Torrox Costa, and offering the same high level of accessibility as the hotel, they have proved very popular
